Individuals dial 211 from most cell phones or (503) 222-5555 from any phone. This is a STATEWIDE resource that can connect individuals to resources.

From the Founder: Your Next Step™ was founded in 2009 by me, Sonia Bhagwan, a single mother who has been volunteering and helping families since 1992. I have worked with chronically homeless families, survivors of domestic violence, at-risk youth and recovering addicts/alcoholics. In the midst of my social work, I encountered my own personal demons and difficult challenges. I was very fortunate to know about the local resources available. With the help of local agencies (and donations and my family), I was able to pull myself out of the rut and move on to my next step—becoming a stable person and strong mother to my daughter.
