This annual YTP Statewide Conference will be held in Hood River, Oregon. This conference is held the day before the annual OAVSNP (Oregon Association of Vocational Special Needs Personnel) conference in the same location. See details for the OAVSNP conference in "Upcoming Events". Historically, many YTP Practitioners stay over and attend the OAVSNP conference.

The conference Hotel is the Best Western Hood River Inn. Room rate information is posted below. $74 is for mountain view rooms and $94 is river view. Ignore the $136 rate as that is for a suite and the suites are all spoken for. Rates are repeated because single and double occupancy are at the same rate.

For information about the hotel visit:

IMPORTANT NOTE: We greatly encourage other stakeholders to attend the Statewide Conference with your YTP team. For example, this may include administrators and referring Special Education Teachers. Due to a generous contribution from the Oregon Masonic Charitable Foundation there are funds available to help your team defray the LODGING COSTS for those stakeholders. If you would like to be considered for those funds, please contact Mike Johnson at: dudley@uoregon.edu or 1+ (541) 346-1412 as soon as possible. The funds are limited so your timely response will be to your advantage. Mike Johnson will need to know if you want to access this money by December 15, 2008. You will need to include the attached Oregon Masonic Charitable Foundation Application below with your request to Mike Johnson.

Posted below, in Word, is a working DRAFT agenda for the conference that may help your stakeholders make their attendance decision. Remember that this will be only a draft and will change over time. The "BIG" ideas and strands will be noted nevertheless.

Also posted below is a draft Session Description document for your review. Shortly, we will have a "Session-at-a-Glance" document up so you can begin to plan your day and see which rooms particular sessions will be held in.
